Jona Wright is a Rochesterian, mom, and HR exec and business partner. She is passionate about creating thriving organizational environments through culture and engagement and a focus on people and their development, as individuals and leaders. Jona enjoyed her own experiences with DisruptHR in May 2023. She delivered a talk based on an aspect of her dissertation topic, focused on design thinking and what it feels like to be on the other side of us, as HR professionals. This is a question she often asks leaders – what does it feel like to be on the other side of you?

Wright holds a doctorate from Saint John Fisher University in Executive Leadership and Organizational Development. She is thankful for the opportunities she has had to lead so many aspects of HR: talent acquisition, talent and leadership development, organizational design and effectivness, and as an executive business partner in private equity, publicly traded and privately held firms. Jona enjoys time with her children, spending time on the water and outdoors, and creating vs. consuming – cooking, DIY projects, or writing.
